Watercolor Resist with crayons



Session two in our new Toddler Art series. Today we did Watercolor Resists with crayons and made spider webs for Halloween. Pictured above is my example painting. The image on the left is the painting when still wet and the one on the right is after it dried. The colors will lighten as the paper dries so if you want a darker color you’ll need to layer on your paint or use more pigment. But we’re working with toddlers, sooo….


You get something like this. You can kind of make out the spiders in the paintings. 🙂
